Veteran coach Festus Allen becomes Ijebu United FC Coach

In a bid to further reposition the club to challenge for honors during the ongoing NNL football season, the management of Ijebu United FC has announced the appointment of veteran coach Festus Allen as the head coach of the club with immediate effect until the end of the season.


The widely traveled and hugely experienced gaffer, known for his technical savvy and zero tolerance for indiscipline, is expected to ensure that Ijebu United finish decently in the league table.


Coach Allen, in response, said he was honored to be appointed as the coach of Ijebu United FC.


"I feel honored and privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading one of the best traditional clubs in the country. The players are good enough and responding positively, and we shall work hard together to take the club to higher levels," said Coach Allen.


Coach Allen was officially unveiled today and will be assisted by the immediate past interim head coach, Michael Soniregun, and Tijani Sherif.
