Unification Ladies crushed Wazbak Queens 4-0 to claim the title of champions in the Ikeja/HRA Women’s League.
Success Odey, Ayomiposi Adeyemi, Rachael Adelodun, and Feranmi Oyebanji combined to score the four goals for Unification Ladies.
The Indomitables took the lead with a spectacular free kick from Success, which rifled into the back of the net in the 19th minute.
Patience Friday provided a sumptuous assist, allowing Adeyemi to double Unification Ladies' lead from close range.
The Indomitables took their two-goal lead into the break after a firecracker of a first 45 minutes.
Adelodun beat the Wazbak Queens' defenders to a rebound and netted Unification Ladies' third goal in the 69th minute.
With 12 minutes left in regulation time, Feranmi raced through on goal from the center of the pitch, using her pace to beat the opposing defenders, and finished off with a swift strike that marked the Indomitables' fourth and final goal of the game.
Wazbak Queens tried to score, but they were met with a defensive brick wall from Unification Ladies.
Unification Ladies' shot stopper, Ifeoluwa Olufemi, emerged as the best goalkeeper of the Ikeja/HRA Women’s League with eight clean sheets. She scored two goals and conceded three in 11 appearances.
Midfield maestro Success Odey was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Sofiat Hassan of Wazbak Queens won the highest goal scorer award after topping the chart with nine goals.
Unification Ladies' tactician, Kolapo Adams, clinched the best coach award of the tournament.
