Two NNL clubs get FC ONE Rocket, Vandrezer FC get scouting cameras from Eyeball of France

Two Nigerian National League (NNL) football clubs in Akwa Ibom State, FC ONE Rocket and Vandrezer FC, have received the latest Artificial Intelligence-enabled scouting cameras.

Nine football clubs in Nigeria have also benefited from this gesture, including the two privately owned teams in Akwa Ibom State that compete in the NNL.

The presentation took place in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.

Presenting the tripod cameras and other equipment, the Manager of Eyeball Software for the Africa Region and France, Mr. Jordan Cipriano, said the cameras were donated to deserving football clubs in Nigeria, including FC ONE Rocket and Vandrezer FC, to help expose the performances of each player in their respective clubs for direct contact with foreign clubs.

Cipriano maintained that the era of players traveling outside the country for trials will be over with the introduction of Artificial Intelligence-enabled scouting cameras.

He said Eyeball Software is a digital platform for youth football competitions aimed at promoting the latest video database of players' profiles and performances to the world's elite leagues.

The facilitator of the partnership, Mr. Idowo Ismail Oluwabiyi Smart, who narrated the benefits of using VEO cameras, said Nigerian teams were carefully selected.

He said the new technology will capture players' statistics and individual performance in their various clubs.

In response, the President of FC ONE Rocket and Calabana FC Academy, Rt Hon Otuekong Nse Essien, expressed appreciation to Eyeball Software, France, for considering his football club worthy as one of the beneficiaries of the digital platform for scouting players.

According to him, the equipment will motivate his players to improve their individual performance, believing also that the standard of his club will rise.

He noted with joy that within four years of existence, FC ONE Rocket and the Academy have produced quality players for premier and national leagues in the country as well as other international clubs.

Essien, who is the Honorary Special Adviser to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Sports, continues, "We are excited that Eyeball has identified FC ONE Rocket and Calabana Academy for what we are. With this development, the sky will be our limit."

"We are promoting and discovering our players to the world; FC ONE Rocket will continue in this direction."

Also speaking, the Head Coach of Vandrezer FC, Coach Madaki Osigbemeh Alfred, who received the camera on behalf of the management of Vandrezer FC, thanked the donor for the latest tripod camera donated to them.

He assured that the club will take advantage of the new camera to showcase his players to the international community and promised to make good use of the equipment in all their matches.
