The encounter showcased the intensity and competitiveness often associated with FA Cup clashes.

The third match of the evening saw Brentford and Wolves engage in a closely contested battle, resulting in a 1-1 draw. Despite being reduced to ten players in the ninth minute following Joao Gomes' red card, Wolves displayed resilience. Neil Moffa's goal in the 14th minute initially gave the visitors the lead, but Thomas Doyle equalized for Brentford in the 64th minute, setting the stage for a rematch between the two teams.
