Super Falcons Star Francisca Ordega Donates Borehole to Benue Community

Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega has expanded her philanthropic footprints by donating a fully functional hand-pump borehole system to her ancestral community of Mbatiav. The Benue State indigene single-handedly funded the vital utility project to provide clean and safe drinking water for her people.

The community of Mbatiav, located within the Gboko Local Government Area, has battled severe and prolonged water shortages for generations. Residents previously had to trek long distances to source water from unhygienic streams. Local leaders expect the newly installed infrastructure to bring immediate relief to hundreds of vulnerable households.

Ordega spoke passionately about the project, stressing her desire to uplift her birthplace despite facing her own financial limitations. She noted that she felt compelled to act because she witnessed the struggles firsthand during her early childhood days. The veteran attacker prayed that her modest contribution would inspire others to look home.

The 32-year-old winger has a long-standing reputation for championing impactful community welfare programs across Nigeria through the Francisca Ordega Foundation. She recently cheesecake a highly successful grassroots soccer clinic in Makurdi to discover young talent. Her continuous charitable efforts have earned immense praise from fans and sports administrators nationwide.

The highly decorated forward remains a key figure in African women's football after winning five continental championship crowns. She currently plays her club football in the Saudi Arabian Women's Premier League after joining heavyweights Al-Ittihad Ladies. National interim coach Justine Madugu recently recalled her to the Super Falcons camp for upcoming friendly games.
