The Super Falcons of Nigeria will fly out to Morocco on Wednesday, June 25, for a 10-day pre-tournament training camp ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which kicks off on July 5.
The camp will serve as the final phase of preparations for the nine-time African champions as they gear up to challenge for a record-extending 10th continental title. The team is expected to hold intense training sessions, tactical drills, and possibly tune-up matches aimed at achieving peak performance before the tournament begins.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) had previously rescheduled the tournament to July 5–26, 2025, with Morocco retaining hosting rights. Matches will take place across key cities, including Casablanca and Rabat.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria. The Falcons will open their campaign on July 6 in Casablanca, where they hope to assert dominance early in the competition.
Under the guidance of head coach Justine Madugu, the squad will focus on strengthening team chemistry, refining match strategies, and ensuring top fitness levels during the 10-day camp.
With a strong legacy and a talented squad, the Super Falcons are widely regarded as one of the favourites for the title—and their Moroccan training base will be the final proving ground before the real test begins on the continental stage.
