Nigeria’s senior women’s football team, the Super Falcons, have maintained their 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking.
The updated ranking, published on FIFA’s official website, also confirms that Justine Madugu’s side remains the number one team in Africa.
The only change for the Super Falcons lies in their points tally, which has risen steadily from 1,616 in March 2024 to 1,623 in June 2025.
The nine-time African champions are still comfortably ahead of South Africa, who are ranked 54th globally and second on the continent.
Morocco (60th), Cameroon (64th), and Zambia (65th) complete Africa’s top five.
On the global stage, the United States continues to lead the rankings, followed by Spain, Germany, Brazil, and England.
The next edition of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking is scheduled to be published on 7 August 2025.
