The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn into Group C of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where they will face Zambia, Egypt, and debutants Malawi. As reigning African champions, Nigeria will be confident of navigating the group stage successfully.
The official draw ceremony, conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), took place at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat. Hosts Morocco were drawn in Group A alongside Algeria, Senegal, and Kenya, while Group B features former champions South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.
Group D is led by Ghana, who claimed bronze at the last edition of the tournament, and includes Cameroon, Mali, and first-time participants Cape Verde.
CAF confirmed that the 2026 WAFCON will run from March 17 to April 3, 2026, with Rabat hosting matches at two venues, while Casablanca and Fès will also serve as host cities. Nigeria’s Super Falcons will play their group matches in Casablanca, while Morocco will be based in Rabat. Ghana and South Africa are expected to feature mainly in Fès and Rabat respectively.
