Super Falcons' Chiamaka Nnadozie Announces Paris FC Departure After Five Years

Posted : 16 June 2025

Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has officially confirmed her exit from Paris FC, ending a distinguished five-year spell with the French club.

Since joining Paris FC in January 2020, Nnadozie has remained the club’s first-choice keeper, making over 60 league appearances, earning two D1 Arkema “Goalkeeper of the Season” awards (2023–24), and helping her side secure third place in the 2023–24 campaign. She also earned the National Union of Professional Footballers’ (UNFP) Trophy in May 2024, becoming the first African female recipient.

Throughout her time in France, Nnadozie became known for her penalty-saving prowess and her leadership in net, keeping six clean sheets in 18 appearances last season alone. She also played a key role in Paris FC’s memorable run in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and helped guide the team during their Coupe de France triumph in 2025 .

On the international stage, the 24-year-old shot-stopper has cemented her status as Nigeria’s top female goalkeeper. She was instrumental during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, saving a penalty against Canada, and earned CAF’s “Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year” awards in both 2023 and 2024.

“Leaving Paris FC is an emotional moment,” Nnadozie stated. “These years have shaped me both as a player and a person. I’m grateful for the trophies, the awards, and especially the memories I’ve shared with my teammates and our supporters.”

Her departure marks the end of a transformative chapter in her career. Nnadozie is now expected to explore offers from top European clubs as she prepares for a fresh challenge ahead of the new season.
