Silver medalists in 2018, Nigeria’s Super Eagles B will play their Group D matches in Zanzibar during the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to take place from August 2 to 30, 2025. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has tasked the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) co-hosts — Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda — with organizing this year’s CHAN as a preparatory event ahead of AFCON 2027.
According to a CAF announcement on Thursday, the tournament will kick off at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Matches in Group C will be played in Kampala, Uganda, while the final will take place on Saturday, August 30, at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
Equatorial Guinea was disqualified from the tournament following a CAF Appeals Committee ruling, paving the way for Congo’s reinstatement in Group D alongside Nigeria.
The Super Eagles B, who also won bronze in the 2014 edition held in South Africa, secured their place in this year’s finals with a 3–1 aggregate win over Ghana in a qualifying fixture last December.
