The curtain is set to fall on the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) this weekend, with drama expected across various centres in Nigeria as clubs jostle for promotion and fight for survival.

The regular season of the NNL will officially end this weekend in the Southern Conferences A, B, and C, with several teams already sealing their places in the Super 8 playoffs.

Promoted teams include former NPFL side Warri Wolves, ambitious newcomers Kun Khalifat FC, and the consistent Crown FC. These teams have secured top spots in their respective conferences and are poised for the promotion-deciding playoff round.

However, the race for the final Super 8 spot in Southern Conference B remains wide open between Osun United and Rovers FC. Osun United will host First Bank FC in a must-win clash. Rovers FC will welcome Solution FC of Awka to the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

Meanwhile, clubs like Godswill Akpabio United, Gateway United, and Abakaliki FC are entrenched in a tense relegation battle, hoping to retain their status in Nigeria's second-tier football league.
