Sporting Lagos have entered the race to sign highly rated midfielder Haruna Hadi and are reportedly preparing an improved offer in a bid to beat Shooting Stars SC to his signature.
The Lagos-based club is closely monitoring the ongoing negotiations between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars, with the transfer yet to be finalized despite the player already agreeing to personal terms with the Ibadan club.
Talks between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars remain unresolved after the Nigeria Premier Football League side rejected an initial ₦4 million bid plus performance-related bonuses. Remo Stars are understood to be holding out for a transfer fee in the region of ₦10 million.
With no agreement reached between the two clubs, Sporting Lagos are looking to capitalize on the situation by presenting a more attractive financial package in an effort to persuade Remo Stars to approve the move.
Should Sporting Lagos proceed with their reported offer, a transfer battle could emerge over one of the most sought-after midfielders ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The coming days are expected to be decisive as negotiations continue, with both clubs aiming to secure the midfielder's signature before preparations for the new season gather momentum.
