Sponsors Promise Thrilling Finale at 2025 President Federation Cup

Posted : 26 June 2025

Anticipation is building ahead of the 2025 President Federation Cup final, as GTI Asset Management and Trust Limited, strategic partners of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), gear up to deliver a grand spectacle on Saturday, June 28 at the historic Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

As Nigeria’s oldest domestic football competition celebrates its 77th edition, GTI has promised a memorable experience both on and off the pitch. The company is set to elevate the event with top-class football and exciting entertainment.

GTI’s Head of Media and Publicity, Andrew Ekejiuba, confirmed in a press statement that all preparations are in full gear.

“Mobolaji Johnson Arena will come alive with soccer fireworks and thrilling entertainment,” he said. “Both the men’s and women’s finals will deliver passion, drama, and unforgettable moments.”

In the men’s category, Kwara United will battle the underdog sensation Abakaliki FC in what promises to be a clash of grit, heart, and ambition.

Kwara United secured their final ticket by edging out NPFL champions Enugu Rangers 1–0 in a tense semifinal clash.

Meanwhile, Abakaliki FC, nicknamed "De Rice Boys," have captured hearts with their fairy-tale run, eliminating four top-tier sides, including Enyimba FC and Nasarawa United, to book their place in the final.

The women’s final earlier that day sets up a dramatic rematch between Rivers Angels, chasing their historic 10th title, and the determined Nasarawa Amazons, last crowned champions in 2019.

That year, the Amazons defeated none other than Rivers Angels in a thrilling showdown. Now, led by captain Josephine Mathias, who once donned Rivers’ jersey in that defeat, they return with added fire and emotion.

The final is more than a match, it's a story of rivalry, redemption, and legacy.

The women’s final kicks off at 1:00 p.m., followed by the men’s final at 4:00 p.m.

Both matches will be streamed live on SuperSport and Propel Sports Africa, offering fans across Nigeria and beyond a front-row seat to all the action.

More than just a football event, the President Federation Cup final stands as a symbol of excellence, national unity, and the power of the beautiful game. GTI’s continued investment highlights the growing synergy between corporate support and grassroots sports development in Nigeria.

As the countdown to Saturday’s final intensifies, one thing is certain: the 2025 President Federation Cup will be remembered for its stories, spectacle, and spirit
