Pablo García’s Four-Goal Masterclass Sends Spain to U-19 Euro Final

Posted : 24 June 2025

The UEFA U-19 European Championship continues to astonish fans with breathtaking drama and unbelievable finishes. In an unforgettable semi-final on Monday night, Spain edged past Germany 6–5 in extra time after a 3–3 draw in regulation.

The match featured stunning comebacks, a last-minute own goal, and a heroic four-goal performance by Real Betis starlet Pablo García, who played a crucial role in one of the most extraordinary games in the tournament’s history.

Germany struck first through a superb goal from Max Morstedt, and although Spain earned a penalty shortly after, Antonio Cordero was denied by German keeper Konstantin Heide. It wasn’t until the 61st minute that García brought Spain level with a sensational Olympic goal—curling it directly into the net from a corner.

Germany regained the lead through Said El Mala in the 78th, but García responded with two quick goals in injury time to complete a remarkable hat-trick. Just when Spain seemed to have sealed the win, a costly own goal by Andrés Cuenca in the 90+9th minute sent the match into extra time.

Spain regained the lead again early in extra time through Tomás Marquez, assisted by García, but Morstedt equalized and then added another to put Germany ahead 5–4 by the 107th minute. Yet the drama was far from over. Jan Virgilly equalized for Spain in the 113th minute, then turned provider for García to complete his incredible four-goal haul in the 119th minute, sealing a 6–5 victory for La Roja.

With this incredible win, Spain booked their place in the final against the Netherlands, who overcame Romania 3–1 in the other semi-final. Goals from Don-Angelo Konado, Kees Smith, and Ayman Saliti saw the Dutch through, while Romania’s David Bravo provided a late consolation. All eyes now turn to the final, where Spain hopes to cap off their rollercoaster journey with the championship trophy.
