Supporters expressed pride in the national team’s achievement, hailing the players for delivering one of the country's greatest football moments. Many viewed the success as a symbol of national unity and a source of inspiration for the country.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also congratulated the team, praising their determination and performance. He highlighted the sense of togetherness generated by the victory and reaffirmed the nation’s collective dream of seeing Bafana Bafana continue their impressive World Cup journey.

With history already made, South Africa now turn their attention to the knockout phase, carrying the hopes of a nation eager to see their fairytale run continue on football’s biggest stage.
