Sokoto United Set Aug 24 for NNL Pre-season Training

Sokoto United FC will commence preparations for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season on Monday, August 24, with players and members of the technical crew expected to return for the club’s pre-season programme.

The management has directed all existing players and coaches to report on or before the resumption date, stressing that punctuality and full commitment will be required as the team begins preparations for the new campaign.

The club warned that failure by any player or technical crew member to comply with the directive could attract appropriate disciplinary measures.

As part of efforts to build a stronger squad, Sokoto United will also begin inviting selected players for trials. However, the management clarified that only players who receive official invitations from the club should report for the screening exercise.

Unsolicited trialists who turn up without official invitations will be responsible for their feeding, transportation and other personal expenses. The club, however, said accommodation would be provided for such players.

The management urged all players and coaches to return safely and prepare themselves mentally and physically for the demands of the new season, expressing its commitment to building a competitive side capable of achieving a successful 2026/2027 NNL campaign.
