Following the conclusion of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Sokoto United Football Club has announced a significant shake-up in its administrative structure.
On Friday, the club confirmed the addition of two new officers to its management team, part of broader efforts to enhance its organizational capacity ahead of future engagements.
According to the club, seasoned security personnel Nasiru Abubakar has been appointed as the Safeguarding Officer, while Abbas Bello takes on the role of Security and Gatekeeper.
The appointments were formally approved in a letter signed by the Commissioner of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Engr. Mustapha Muhammad, and will take effect from July 1, 2025.
Sokoto United FC recently finished fourth in Conference C of the 2024/2025 NNL season, earning 16 points from five wins, one draw, and six losses.
The management restructuring reflects the club’s commitment to improving its operations and competitiveness as preparations begin for the next season.
