Shooting Stars Shine as Ayobami Jnr Bags LBA NPFL Midfielder of the Season

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) enjoyed a memorable outing at the 2025/2026 LBA Awards after midfielder Ayobami Jnr was named the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Midfielder of the Season.

The Nigeria international claimed the individual honour ahead of Ikorodu City FC's Tosin Oyedokun and Kano Pillars' veteran Rabiu Ali following an outstanding campaign.

Ayobami finished the season as the NPFL's leading assist provider, with his creativity, vision, and consistency playing a key role in Shooting Stars' impressive performances throughout the campaign.

His ability to control the tempo of matches and create scoring opportunities for his teammates earned him widespread admiration and ultimately the prestigious award.

The Ibadan-based club's impressive season was further recognised, with Head Coach Nurudeen Aweroro receiving a nomination for the Coach of the Season award.

Aweroro was shortlisted after leading the Oluyole Warriors to a competitive campaign marked by disciplined performances and an attractive style of play.

Shooting Stars also secured a nomination for the Club of the Season award in recognition of their progress, professionalism, and strong performances during the 2025/2026 NPFL season.

The multiple nominations underscore the club's continued development and reflect the collective efforts of its players, technical crew, management, and supporters.

The recognition received at the LBA Awards highlights Shooting Stars' outstanding contributions during the season and reinforces the club's growing reputation as one of the NPFL's leading sides heading into the next campaign.
