Shooting Stars set to sign Liberian forward Albert Korvah from Remo Stars

Posted : 12 August 2026

Shooting Stars are closing in on the signing of Liberian forward Albert Korvah ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season. Korvah has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Ibadan club and is already with the Oluyole Warriors as preparations continue for the new campaign.

The 27-year-old attacker spent the 2025/26 season with Remo Stars after joining the Sky Blue Stars at the start of the year. Available player records list Korvah as a left winger who can also operate on the right side of the attack.

Korvah made 16 NPFL appearances for Remo Stars last season and scored once. His move to Ikenne came during the January transfer window, with PUNCH reporting that the Liberian attacker was unveiled as one of Remo Stars' new additions during the second half of the campaign.

The Liberian previously spent time with Rivers United before moving to Remo Stars. His records show that he played for the Port Harcourt club during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, while he also represented Watanga FC in Liberia before moving to Nigeria.

Korvah also has international experience with Liberia. He has represented the Lone Star in competitive matches and was listed as a former international with five senior caps in available player records.

His arrival would give Shooting Stars another attacking option as the club prepares for the new NPFL campaign. The Oluyole Warriors had a competitive 2025/26 season and will be looking to improve their squad depth as they target another strong league showing.

The move would also add another layer to the rivalry between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars. The two clubs are among the prominent teams from Nigeria's South-West region and faced each other twice in the 2025/26 NPFL season.

Shooting Stars won the first meeting 1-0 at home in December 2025. Remo Stars claimed a 1-0 victory in the return fixture in April 2026, leaving the season's head-to-head record level at one win apiece.

Korvah's previous experience in the NPFL could help him settle quickly if the transfer is completed. His familiarity with the league and his ability to operate across the attacking positions should provide Shooting Stars with another option as they build their squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
