Ibadan, Nigeria – Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan has entered a new era following the appointment of Honourable Taiwo Lekan Salami as the club’s new chairman ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The seasoned sports administrator and prominent business figure gave his assurance of a significant transformation for the Oluyole Warriors during his first official meeting with the club’s management and staff at the 3SC office in Jericho, Ibadan.
“I am delighted to be here and I want to assure you that there will be massive changes, both within the office and on the field,” Salami stated during his introductory remarks, signaling a bold start to his tenure.
Salami, who was accompanied by Engineer Sheriff, met with key members of the club’s leadership including General Manager Dimeji Lawal, Director of Finance and Administration Mrs. Abiodun Oyeyemi, Administrative Secretary Babayemi Akintomiwa, and Technical Adviser Coach Gbenga Ogunbote. Staff members were also present to welcome the new chairman.
The meeting centered on assessing the current state of the club, with Salami emphasizing his commitment to repositioning Shooting Stars SC as a competitive force in Nigerian football. His vision includes improving the team’s performance on the pitch and boosting the club’s operational efficiency.

All matches will be played at the Uyo Township Stadium, with fixtures scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays.
The top two teams from the league will qualify for the NLO promotion playoffs, offering a vital opportunity for young talents to rise through the ranks of Nigerian football.
