Oluyole Warriors of Ibadan made a bold statement with an emphatic 2–0 victory over their eternal rivals, Bendel Insurance FC of Benin, in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 22 at home in Ibadan.

Shooting Stars bounced back in style following a recent 2–0 defeat to Bayelsa United, demonstrating renewed determination and control. However, the breakthrough came late in the 71st minute when substitute Qamar Adegoke calmly found the net, handing the hosts the maximum points and sparking celebrations among the faithful.

Adegoke’s decisive strike highlighted his growing importance to the team and capped off a strong all-around performance from the hosts, who remained patient and disciplined throughout the match.

The goal extended an impressive run of form for the forward, who previously scored as a substitute in the season-opening fixture against Enyimba, contributing to a 3–0 victory.
