Shooting Stars claim emphatic 3-0 win over managerless Akwa United FC

Shooting Stars of Ibadan bounced back from their disappointing league matches on Sunday to wallop visiting Akwa United FC 3-0 at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex.


On Match Day 24 of the 2023/2024 season, the Oluyole Warriors were emphatic in their largely dominated 3-0 win, while the visitors, the Promise Keepers, had no answers to the pressure mounted on them by the imposing strikers of the Oluyole Warriors.


The team tutored by Gbenga Ogunbote scored their first goal in the 15th minute through Victor Ehibe. In the 18th minute, Christian Pyagbara headed in a corner to double the home team's advantage. Abdullahi Lawal got the third goal in the 89th minute, ending Match Day 24 on a high note for the Oluyole Warriors.


On the other hand, Rangers International FC failed to find the back of the net against the visiting lowly rated Kwara United FC.


Rangers International FC could not break the defense of Abia Warriors, who stood solidly to defend, while Kwara United also failed to register a goal against their visitors.
