Shooting Stars and Crown FC Prepare for 2026 Oyo State FA Cup Final

The 2026 Oyo State Federation Cup final is officially set following the conclusion of the semi-final matches this week. Shooting Stars Sports Club will take on Crown FC of Ogbomosho in a highly anticipated clash. The match is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba.

Shooting Stars, often called the Oluyole Warriors, earned their spot after a difficult semi-final encounter. They faced their own feeder team, Shooting Stars Team B, at the Olubadan Stadium. A lone goal was enough to secure a 1-0 victory and advance the senior side to the final.

Crown FC reached the final stage with a more comfortable margin during their own semi-final fixture. They defeated Ibadan United with a 2-0 scoreline to set up the showdown with the Nigeria Premier Football League giants. Both teams have now secured their main objective of reaching the final day of the state tournament.

The event on Sunday will feature a double-header of football action for local fans. The women’s final between Pacesetter Queens FC and Dragon Fury Ladies FC will kick off first at 1:00 pm. The men's headline match between Shooting Stars and Crown FC will follow immediately at 3:00 pm.

There is significant prestige on the line for both clubs beyond the local trophy. The winner and the runner-up typically earn the right to represent Oyo State in the national President Federation Cup. This adds a layer of competitive pressure to an already intense regional rivalry between Ibadan and Ogbomosho.

Fans and stakeholders are expected to fill the Lekan Salami Sports Complex to witness the crowning of the state champions. Shooting Stars will enter as favorites due to their top-flight status and recent form. However, Crown FC has a history of causing upsets in knockout competitions and will look to reclaim regional dominance.
