In the opening match, Namo FC thrashed Unique Light FC 6-2 to book their place in the semi-finals. After a 1-1 draw at halftime, Namo FC dominated the second half, scoring five more goals. Stanley Ufot netted a hat-trick and was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
Delight FC also advanced after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Camp Elite, thanks to an early first-half goal from Aimuamwonsa. Despite Camp Elite’s efforts to equalize, Delight FC held firm with solid defensive discipline. Notably, Camp Elite’s Yusuf Hamza earned the Man of the Match award for his individual brilliance.
In a tightly contested fixture, Samco City FC and Edo Young Stars played out a 1-1 draw before heading to penalties. Samco held their nerve to win 5-4 in the shootout. Despite the loss, Edo Young Stars’ Osapkolor Omoriye was named Man of the Match for his impressive showing.
In the final quarter-final game, Okuta FC defeated Shavik FC 4-2 in a thrilling six-goal affair. Okuta led 2-1 at halftime, and although Shavik FC equalized early in the second half, costly errors undid their comeback hopes. Eric Momoh stole the spotlight with a superb hat-trick and was deservedly named Man of the Match.
With Namo FC, Okuta FC, Samco City FC, and Delight FC all through, the stage is now set for a thrilling semi-final round.
