Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen will begin considering his transfer options in May, as he prepares for a potential summer switch.
Osimhen, who has had a standout campaign while on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray, has caught the attention of several major European clubs, notably Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus.
The Super Eagles striker has delivered impressive performances this season, racking up 29 goals and six assists in just 33 games across all competitions.
Despite the increasing speculation about his next move, Osimhen is reportedly fully committed to helping Galatasaray secure a league and cup double before the season concludes.
Romano, speaking via his YouTube platform, clarified that the Nigerian international is expected to return to his parent club, Napoli, before finalizing a permanent move to a new team during the summer.
"The plan is for Osimhen to leave Galatasaray, go back to Napoli, and then exit the club," Romano stated. "He won’t be staying at Napoli and he’s unlikely to remain at Galatasaray either."
He also mentioned that the 26-year-old has already drawn interest from clubs in various leagues, and will begin evaluating those opportunities in the coming weeks, starting from May.
While Romano acknowledged Juventus’ interest, he noted that Napoli would prefer not to strengthen a domestic rival, which could complicate any potential move within Serie A. As the transfer window nears, Osimhen is expected to prioritize resolving his future before the next season begins.
