For the Pride of Rivers, the George Finidi-tutored team is not a green horn in the business and will once again start from where they finished it last season.

In readiness for the 2025/2026 NPFL season, Rivers United FC announced 12 new critical signing although they have been silent in the pre-season activities.

The players signed includes; Ani Ozoemena, Noble John, Nsi Effimi, Ogbu Ogechukwu, Rivio Ayemwenre, Anthony Omaka, Maclyn Biokpo, Seyi Oguntayo, Chinedu Sunday, Wasiu Falolu and Issac Annor.

Rivers United FC remains a strong contender for the 2025/2026 NPFL and will use their fortress at the Adokiye Aniesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt as a fortress coupled with strong financial backing from the Rivers State Government.
