Remo Stars FC, the defending champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League, recorded their first back-to-back victories of the 2025/2026 season with a convincing 2–0 win over Barau FC on Matchday 14. Playing at their temporary home at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the Sky Blue Stars dominated the visitors from Kano and inflicted another defeat on the struggling side.
Ahmed Akinyele opened the scoring in the 15th minute, setting the tone for the hosts. Veteran striker Victor Mbaoma then doubled the lead just after the half-hour mark, securing the Sky Blue Stars’ second successive win of the campaign.
The victory lifted Remo Stars to 10th place on the NPFL log, with 19 points from 13 matches, following six wins, one draw, and six losses. The team now aims to build on this momentum in their upcoming fixtures.
