Tusker FC have boosted their attacking options with the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Mbaoma on a one-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Kenyan Premier League side announced Mbaoma as their first signing of the transfer window, underlining their ambition to challenge for honours in the new campaign.
The 29-year-old arrives from former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Remo Stars, where he finished the 2025/26 season as the club's leading scorer with 14 goals and four assists.
Mbaoma brings a rich pedigree to the Brewers, having also enjoyed a successful spell with Rwanda's APR FC, where he emerged as the league's top scorer with 15 goals to claim the Golden Boot.
Speaking after completing the move, the prolific forward said Tusker's vision and history convinced him to make the switch.
"I am really delighted to be joining Tusker FC. The coach and the management presented the club's project to me, and I was immediately attracted to it.
"I also took time to look into the club's rich history and saw that this is a team built on success. The ambition to excel both domestically and in continental competitions was a major factor in my decision," Mbaoma said.
The striker has completed all contractual formalities and is expected to return to Kenya later this week after a brief trip to Nigeria to begin pre-season training with his new teammates.
Tusker head coach Julien Mette described Mbaoma as an experienced striker capable of making an immediate impact.
"I am delighted to welcome Victor to the team as our first signing. He is an experienced player whom I know very well, and I am confident we will achieve great success together," Mette said.
Mbaoma was officially unveiled by head coach Julien Mette alongside Tusker FC chairman Charles Gacheru as the Brewers continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Nigerian forward will now look to replicate his goalscoring exploits in Kenya as Tusker FC aim to compete strongly for domestic honours and make an impact in continental competitions during the new campaign.
