Reigners FC Crowned 2025 Afriskaut Elite Super League Champions After Dramatic Final Day

Reigners FC have been crowned champions of the Afriskaut Elite Super League 2025 following a nail-biting final day, as Flamingo FC staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Jordan FA 2-1 at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State.

 

The result inadvertently secured the title for Reigners FC, who had earlier sealed a narrow 1-0 victory over FC Bako on Saturday, finishing the tournament with 22 points.

 

Jordan FA ended the competition as runners-up with 20 points, while Flamingo FC claimed third place with 17 points.

 

Despite the loss in the final game, Jordan FA impressed throughout the tournament with their skill and sportsmanship. Notable wins included a 2-1 triumph over FC Bako, a 4-2 victory against FA Bako, and a stunning 7-1 demolition of Royal Base FC.

 

The tournament, which kicked off on June 13 and concluded on July 20, was sponsored by Afriskaut and the Ozi-Bako Foundation. It brought together six teams to showcase young talents and provide exposure to scouts and clubs.

 

Jordan FA’s founder and CEO, Jordan Haziel, expressed appreciation to partner BAKO for the platform provided to launch their academy, stating it would help attract young talents and advance their mission of youth development.

 

Haziel also highlighted the importance of partnerships and sponsorships in supporting the academy’s growth.

 

"With the right support, Jordan FA aims to produce talented players who can thrive in both local and international clubs," he said.

 

Looking ahead, Haziel emphasized that despite the final day setback, Jordan FA remains determined to come back stronger.

 

“As a team, we will analyze our performance, identify areas for improvement, and refine our skills to bounce back better. Our academy will continue to provide opportunities for young players to grow and reach their potential,” he added.
