Rangers Women FC began their competitive journey with a historic 3–0 win over Osklean FC in the NWFL Nationwide Competition.
History was made on Saturday, October 11, as Rangers Women FC celebrated their debut competitive game with a commanding 3–0 victory over Osklean FC of Rivers State in the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide Competition at the Bwari Township Stadium, Abuja.
Goals from Onuchukwu Chisom (17’, 85’) and Pius Peace (49’) sealed an emphatic win for the newly formed side, marking a strong beginning for the women’s division of the iconic Rangers International Football Club of Enugu.
The triumph represents not only a sporting achievement but also a historic milestone—the first time in Rangers’ and Enugu State’s history that a women’s football team has competed in a national tournament.
The management and players of Rangers Women FC expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his visionary leadership and steadfast support for sports development across the state.
