Rangers set for grand Enugu trophy parade after historic ninth NPFL triumph

Enugu State is set to come alive with celebration as Rangers International FC have concluded plans for a grand trophy parade on Tuesday, June 2, following their successful Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title-winning campaign.

The Flying Antelopes secured their ninth NPFL crown after defeating Ikorodu City 2-1 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on the final day of the season, cementing their status as one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs.

To mark the achievement and share the moment with their supporters, the club will embark on a trophy parade across major streets of Enugu, beginning at 12 noon from the Rangers Camp.

Players, coaches, and club officials are expected to travel through various parts of the city, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate the league success before the procession concludes at Okpara Square.

The festivities will continue with a visit to the Enugu State Government House, where the team will be received by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in recognition of their remarkable achievement.

With the league title secured, Rangers will now shift attention to continental football as the Fidelis Ilechukwu-led side prepares to represent Nigeria in next season's CAF Champions League.

The upcoming parade offers a perfect opportunity for the Coal City to honor the dedicated efforts of the players and coaching staff throughout the grueling season. As fans gather to catch a glimpse of the coveted silverware, the event marks a historic milestone that cements the club's legacy in Nigerian football.
