Ranchers Bees have confirmed the appointment of Usman Abdallah as the club's new head coach ahead of their return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The Kaduna-based side announced that the experienced tactician has signed a two-year contract as preparations begin for the 2026/27 campaign.
Abdallah arrives at Ranchers Bees after leaving former NPFL champions Remo Stars. He is regarded as one of the most experienced coaches in Nigerian football, having previously managed clubs including Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Katsina United and Remo Stars during his coaching career.
His appointment is viewed as a major statement of intent by Ranchers Bees, who are preparing for their first season back in the top flight after an 18-year absence. The club secured promotion from the Nigeria National League earlier this year after finishing top of Conference D and sealing a place in the NPFL.
The management has already started strengthening both the technical and administrative departments ahead of the new season. Recent additions include experienced club administrator Jide Bodunde as secretary and midfielder Kabiru Mohammed as part of the club's recruitment drive.
Abdallah's immediate task will be to build a competitive squad capable of retaining the club's top-flight status while establishing Ranchers Bees among the elite clubs in Nigerian football. His experience in handling pressure situations and managing ambitious projects is expected to play a key role in the club's plans.
Pre-season activities are expected to intensify in the coming weeks as the coach begins work with his new squad. Supporters will hope his arrival can provide the leadership and tactical direction needed for a successful return to the NPFL.
For Abdallah, the move offers a fresh challenge and an opportunity to guide one of Nigeria's historic clubs through a new chapter. For Ranchers Bees, it represents another important step in their efforts to establish themselves once again in the country's top division.
