Prostar Supports Bayelsa’s Prosperity Cup Final with Match Balls

In a significant move to enhance grassroots football development, Prostar has announced its support for the 2025 edition of the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament, popularly known as the Prosperity Cup.

 

This collaboration underscores Prostar’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sports at the community level.

With a record-breaking ₦50 million prize pool, the tournament has become a beacon of hope for aspiring footballers across Bayelsa State and beyond.

 

Director General of the tournament, Ono Akpe, confirmed on Tuesday that FIFA-certified Prostar balls—currently used in the NNL, NPFL, and the Women’s League—will also be used in the Prosperity Cup final.

 

“The involvement of Prostar is another big boost for the tournament ahead of the final,” Akpe said.

 

Paul Obiakor, CEO of Zenith Sports, expressed excitement about being part of the final and commended Governor Douye Diri for his contributions to sports development in Nigeria.
