Premier League clubs have already committed £2.14 billion to transfers during the 2026 summer window, with more than two weeks still remaining before the deadline. The spending spree has put the English top flight on course to potentially establish another record.
The current figure has already exceeded the total spent across the entire summer windows in 2024 (£1.98bn), 2022 (£1.94bn), 2021 (£1.13bn) and 2020 (£1.32bn). Only the £2.36bn recorded in 2023 and last year's unprecedented £3.14bn remain higher.
With significant time still available for clubs to complete further deals, Premier League spending could move considerably closer to last year's record. The scale of investment also underlines the financial strength of England's top division compared with Europe's other leading leagues.
