Palmeiras teenage striker Endrick secures third consecutive Sao Paulo State Championship before Real Madrid move

Posted : 08 April 2024

Before departing to join Real Madrid in the summer, teenage striker Endrick added another title to his achievements with Brazilian club Palmeiras, helping secure their third consecutive Sao Paulo state championship with a 2-0 victory over local rivals Santos. Endrick played a crucial role in the win, drawing the penalty that led to Raphael Veiga's opening goal in the 33rd minute, with Anibal Moreno sealing the victory in the 67th minute.

Expressing his aspirations to become a role model for children, Endrick reflected on his journey and his desire to inspire others. Despite facing challenges and critics along the way, the 17-year-old striker remains determined to make a positive impact and pave the way for aspiring young footballers. Endrick's success extends beyond this latest title, as he was also part of Palmeiras' victorious campaigns in the 2023 Sao Paulo championship and the 2022 and 2023 Brazilian championship.

With just over two months remaining at Palmeiras before his move to Madrid, Endrick looks forward to embarking on a new chapter in his career. Despite the anticipation surrounding his upcoming transition to Real Madrid, Endrick remains focused on his current responsibilities and grateful for the opportunities provided by Palmeiras, acknowledging the trust and support he received from the club where he began his journey in youth divisions.
