2025/2026 NWFL Season: Pacesetter Queens Appoint Akeem Busari as Technical Adviser

Former Bayelsa Queens coach, Akeem Ishola Busari, has been appointed as the new Technical Adviser of the Oyo State female football team, Pacesetter Queens.

Busari, a seasoned tactician with vast experience in women’s football, will lead the team’s technical crew as they prepare for upcoming competitions.

He will be assisted by Wole Animashaun, Damilola Badmus, Lukman Lateef, Folusho Ajayi, Raji Yekini, and other members of the backroom staff.

The appointment is part of Oyo State’s renewed commitment to revitalizing women’s football and strengthening Pacesetter Queens’ presence in the Nigerian women’s football scene.

Busari, who previously guided Bayelsa Queens to notable successes, is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear as he oversees the team’s rebuilding project.

Debutants Pacesetter Queens will begin their campaign in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership against Adamawa Queens at Makwada Stadium. They will also face their coach’s former team, Bayelsa Queens, in Group A.

Other teams in the group include Edo Queens, Heartland Queens, Ekiti Queens, Naija Ratels, Ibom Angels, Castmog Ladies, and Rivers Angels.
