Osimhen’s Al Hilal Link Questioned as Transfer Insider Reveals Latest

Victor Osimhen’s future at Galatasaray has again become a major transfer talking point after reports linked the Nigeria striker with Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal. The latest claims have created uncertainty, but the level of interest from the Saudi club remains unclear.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that Al Hilal had made an approach for the 27-year-old forward. Other reports also claimed that Galatasaray had rejected an offer from the Saudi side.

However, those claims have been challenged by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. According to the latest reports, Romano stated that Al Hilal are not currently pursuing Osimhen and are instead considering another striker.

That leaves the reported Al Hilal approach difficult to establish as a concrete transfer move. The situation could still change before the transfer window closes, but there is no clear indication at present that the Saudi club are actively negotiating for Osimhen.

Galatasaray have strong reasons to retain their leading striker. The Turkish champions signed Osimhen permanently from Napoli in July 2025 for €75 million and handed him a four-year contract running until 2029.

Osimhen had initially joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in the 2024/25 season. His performances during that spell convinced the Istanbul club to make the move permanent, making him the most expensive signing in their history.

The Nigerian striker has also continued to attract attention from leading European clubs. Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been linked with him at various stages of the transfer window.

Galatasaray's position could therefore be tested if a major offer arrives. The club paid €75 million for Osimhen, while reports surrounding his current valuation have placed a potential asking price significantly higher.

Osimhen has also previously been linked with Al Hilal. The Saudi club attempted to sign him during his final period at Napoli, but the move did not materialise.

The current uncertainty is partly driven by the scale of interest surrounding the Super Eagles striker. His goalscoring record and status as one of Europe's leading forwards continue to make him a target for clubs with significant financial resources.

For Galatasaray, keeping Osimhen would preserve one of the most important players in their attack. His contract still has three years remaining, giving the Turkish champions considerable leverage in any negotiations.

For Osimhen, the priority could be deciding whether to remain in Istanbul or pursue another challenge after establishing himself as a key figure at Galatasaray. The striker has previously expressed his happiness at the club and the strong connection he has developed with its supporters.

With the transfer window still open, further approaches cannot be ruled out. For now, however, reports of a serious Al Hilal pursuit remain disputed, while Galatasaray continue to hold the Nigerian forward under contract until 2029.
