Osanga Rallies Nasarawa United for Kwara United Test in Ilorin

Nasarawa United captain King Osanga has charged his teammates to show greater determination as they face Kwara United in a Match Day Five encounter of the 2026/2027 Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Solid Miners will visit the Rashidi Yekini Stadium, Ilorin, on Wednesday (today), hoping to secure a positive result and reignite their campaign after being held to a 1-1 draw by Rivers United at home last Sunday.

Osanga acknowledged the difficulty of playing against Kwara United on their home ground but insisted that Nasarawa United would approach the encounter with a clear plan.

“It’s not always an easy game against Rivers United. Unfortunately, the draw wasn’t the result we wanted at home, but we are looking at bouncing back against Kwara United here in Ilorin,” Osanga said.

“Kwara United will always have the advantage because they are playing in front of their supporters, but we have our own plans and we are determined to get at least a point from the game.”

The captain also stressed that the Solid Miners are eager to build on their campaign and improve on their showing from last season.

“We all know how we started last season, but in football there are always ups and downs. This season, we want to better our performance and finish better than last season,” he said.

With home advantage expected to favour Kwara United, Nasarawa United will rely on discipline, determination and tactical execution as they seek to leave Ilorin with something to show for their efforts.
