Olukismet Football Club achieves third victory in 2024 NLO season

The encounter for the Akure Center was played on Wednesday.


The cagey 2024 Nigeria Nationwide League One encounter, played at the Akure Township Stadium, produced exciting moments as both teams, Olukismet Football Club and Adamimogo FC, shared possession in the early minutes of the match.


But it was Olukismet FC who drew first blood through Adekola in the 38th minute, pouncing home from a rebound.


Adamimogo FC also showed their class in the second half, and it was full of activity as the Ondo-based team continued to push for the equalizer, but they were unable to break the resilient defense line of Olukismet FC.


The match ended 1-0 in favor of Olukismet FC of IKERE EKITI, marking their third victory in three matches in the ongoing campaign.


The Head Coach of Olukismet FC, Oladeji Atobaje, said: "We actually anticipated this encounter to be tough due to the rivalry between the two sides.


"From what I said after the first match, Olukismet FC is in the league for serious business, and we shall continue to push and maintain our lead at the top of the table.


"I have told my boys not to let complacency get the better of them; they should remain focused and be in a fighting mood until we secure our promotion this season."
