Olamide emerges as NWFL premiership top scorer award

In a thrilling conclusion to the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season, Remo Stars Ladies’ Bolaji Olamide emerged as the league’s top goal scorer.

 

Olamide, a former Sunshine Queens player, scored a total of 15 goals, with 14 of those coming in the regular season.

 

Her incredible goal-scoring form saw her stand out across 14 matches, securing her the prestigious award.

 

Olamide’s remarkable season was rounded off with a goal in the Playoffs against Naija Ratels, contributing to her overall tally of 15 goals in 19 matches, including both the regular season and Super Six fixtures.

 

 

Her goals played a pivotal role in Remo Stars Ladies’ first-ever qualification to the Super Six and finishing the season in fifth place, accumulating seven points from five Playoff matches.

 

Olamide beat Nasarawa Amazons’ Janet Akekeromowei to claim the top scorer prize, capping off a fantastic individual campaign that helped her side stay competitive throughout the season.
