The management of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side Ekiti Queens FC has officially unveiled Sabo Okala as the club's new Head Coach ahead of the forthcoming football season.
At a ceremony held on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti, the Sports Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, presented Okala with the club's official jersey, describing his appointment as a major step in the club's renewed drive for success.
Osetoba said the Ekiti State Government remains committed to strengthening the team and providing the necessary support to ensure the club competes favourably in the new NWFL campaign.
She expressed confidence in Okala's wealth of experience and technical expertise, urging him to justify the confidence reposed in him by building a competitive team capable of delivering impressive results.
Responding, Okala thanked the Ekiti State Government and the club's management for the opportunity to lead the team, promising to work tirelessly with the players and members of the technical crew to achieve the club's objectives.
The tactician, who has carved a reputation in women's football over the past decade, previously handled Confluence Queens, Honey Badgers, and Naija Ratels, earning recognition for his developmental approach and competitive record.
A former defender with BCC Lions and Niger Tornadoes, Okala is expected to spearhead Ekiti Queens' resurgence and establish the club among the leading sides in the Nigeria Women Football League.
With a wealth of coaching experience and a proven track record in women's football, Okala will be expected to guide Ekiti Queens to improved performances in the upcoming campaign. The club hopes his appointment will mark the beginning of a successful new era in the NWFL.
