NYC U-19 League Final: Kwara United Cadets Set Sights on 2025 Glory

Head coach of Kwara United Under-19, Abdulkadir Kehinde Jimoh, popularly known as Coach Kado, has expressed confidence in his side’s readiness ahead of the final of the 2025 Nigeria Youth Championship (NYC) U-19 League, where they face Atlantic Business Football Club.

In an interview ahead of the much-anticipated clash, Coach Kado stated that his boys are focused, well-prepared, and motivated to deliver a victory that would cap off a remarkable weekend for football in the state.

“We’ve worked hard to reach this stage, and we’re not going to lose focus now. It won’t be easy, but our determination will surely pay off,” Coach Kado said.

The young Afonja Warriors are aiming to emulate the senior team, Kwara United FC, who made history on Saturday by clinching the 2025 President Federation Cup, ending a 49-year wait for a national trophy.

Coach Kado took a moment to celebrate the senior team’s landmark achievement:

“The victory by the senior team has inspired the entire club, and we want to follow up with another trophy for the state. We are proud of what they have done.”

The coach made a passionate appeal to Kwara football fans in Lagos to show the same energy and presence they displayed during the Federation Cup final, urging them to come out in numbers for the youth team’s decisive match.

“We aim to make it double victories for Kwara State, and we’re counting on the fans’ support once again. We promise to give our all and not disappoint.”

With confidence riding high and momentum on their side, Kwara United U-19 will go into the final with one clear objective, to lift the 2025 NYC League title and mark a golden moment in the club’s developmental success story.
