Standout performers in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Yusuf Anas and Coach Daniel Ogunmodede, are set to be honoured on Tuesday, September 2 in Abuja.
The award ceremony and reception were initially delayed due to the duo’s involvement with the CHAN Eagles team during preparations and participation.
NPFL Chairman Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye announced the new date, stressing that the initiative aligns with the league’s policy of rewarding excellence.
“It has been our policy to encourage players, coaches, and teams to raise the quality of our league through outstanding performances.
We have consistently rewarded our best clubs, highest goal scorers, and top-performing coaches in partnership with our investment partner, GTI Assets Management,” Elegbeleye explained.
Anas, who starred for Nasarawa United, finished as the league’s top scorer with 17 goals, while Ogunmodede guided Remo Stars to their first-ever NPFL title, a historic achievement since the club’s inception.
Each award winner will receive ₦1.5 million alongside a commemorative plaque in recognition of their contributions to Nigerian football.
