NPFL Postpones Rangers, Bendel Insurance Clash

Posted : 18 October 2026

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has postponed the Matchday 9 fixture between Rangers International of Enugu and Bendel Insurance to allow the Flying Antelopes to focus on their continental assignment.

The encounter, initially scheduled for Sunday, October 18, will be rescheduled following Rangers’ CAF Champions League commitment against Algerian side MC Alger.

Rangers are billed to host the Algerian outfit at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun, on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 4 p.m.

The postponement leaves Bendel Insurance without a league fixture this weekend, with the Benin-based club expected to return to action on October 25 against Rivers United in a Matchday 10 encounter.

The Benin Arsenals will be seeking a quick response after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Sporting Lagos in Lagos last Sunday.

The loss left Bendel Insurance eighth on the NPFL table with 12 points, as the team seeks to regain momentum in the ongoing campaign.

Meanwhile, the league organisers have yet to announce a new date for the postponed fixture between Rangers and Bendel Insurance.
