NPFL: Nasarawa United Sign Barau FC Midfielder Mohammad Umar

Nasarawa United have completed the signing of Mohammad Umar from fellow Nigeria Premier Football League side Barau FC ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The midfielder joins the Solid Miners after establishing himself as a regular starter for Barau FC during their maiden NPFL campaign last season. His arrival is expected to provide additional depth and experience to Nasarawa United's midfield.

Umar played an important role as Barau FC secured a top-half finish in their first season in the NPFL. His consistent involvement made him one of the players trusted by the Maliya Boys throughout the campaign.

The move gives Umar another opportunity to continue his development at an established NPFL club. He previously represented Plateau United before joining Barau FC.
