The race for continental qualification in the Nigeria Premier Football League intensifies as Shooting Stars SC prepare to welcome Barau FC to Ibadan for a decisive Matchday 37 encounter of the 2025/2026 season.

With only two games remaining, the Oluyole Warriors are still firmly in contention for a top-three finish. They currently sit fourth on the league table with 57 points, just a single point behind Ikorodu City FC in third place. A win in this fixture could prove vital in keeping their continental ambitions alive heading into the final matchday.

However, Barau FC arrive in strong form and will not be easy opponents. Ahead of the high-stakes clash, former Nigerian international and newly appointed “Pillar of Sports,” Temitope Ademola Obideyi, has urged supporters to turn out in large numbers to back Shooting Stars. He stressed that strong fan support could play a decisive role in pushing the team closer to continental qualification.

Obideyi also confirmed that he has purchased 300 tickets for fans, which will be distributed free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to encourage greater stadium attendance.

While encouraging passion and support, he also called for discipline and peaceful conduct during the match, emphasizing the importance of unity and sportsmanship among supporters.
