Thirteenth-placed Ikorodu City FC will on Sunday fight for their first win of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season when they host debutants Barau FC of Kano in the Match Day 4 fixtures.
The Oga Boys have remained undefeated but winless in their opening three league matches, with all games ending in draws and only one goal scored.
Bright Ozadegbe’s team played goalless draws in Match Day 1 and 2 against Kwara United FC and El-Kanemi Warriors, respectively, before securing a 1-1 draw against Shooting Stars SC in a South West derby on Match Day 3.
Now 13th on the league table, Ikorodu City will host NPFL newcomers Barau FC, who sit 17th with just two points, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Coach Bright Ozadegbe will be eager to finally deliver a first win in front of the Lagos supporters.
For the Maliya Boys, the story is similar. After one defeat and two draws, they are also chasing their maiden NPFL victory.
Barau FC coach Ladan Bosso returns to familiar terrain in Lagos and may aim to secure a draw.
This match marks the first-ever meeting between the two clubs, with pride and early-season momentum on the line.
