Barau FC will bring their 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign to a close with a Matchday 38 fixture against Nasarawa United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday. The club has confirmed that the game will be played with free entry for all supporters.
Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., with a large turnout expected as fans are allowed unrestricted access to the stadium. The management says the decision is part of efforts to appreciate supporters for their backing throughout the season.
Barau FC’s General Manager, Dominic Iorfa, announced the initiative while meeting with representatives of the Nigerian Football Coaches Association in Kano State. He explained that the gesture is intended to reward loyal fans and create a vibrant atmosphere for the final home game.
The club, currently ninth on the table with 49 points, has already secured its place in the top flight for next season and will be looking to end the campaign on a positive note.
Nasarawa United, known as the Solid Miners, travel to Kano sitting fifth with 56 points. Although out of the title race, they remain focused on finishing the season strongly.
With both teams already free from relegation pressure, Sunday’s encounter is expected to be an open and entertaining contest to round off the NPFL season in Kano.
