NPFL Clubs Circle Doma United Duo After Promotion Heroics

As clubs intensify preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Doma United's promotion-winning stars, Ramadan Bashir and Hassan Mamud, have emerged as two of the most sought-after players in the domestic transfer market.

The pair played pivotal roles in Doma United's successful campaign back to the top flight, with their impressive performances reportedly attracting interest from several NPFL sides looking to strengthen their squads.

Bashir, popularly known as Ramadan Koki, was one of Doma United's standout attacking players during the Nigeria National League (NNL) season. The exciting right winger etched his name into the club's history by scoring Doma United's first goal of the 2026 campaign.

The left-footed attacker contributed two goals while consistently troubling opposing defences with his blistering pace, close ball control, creativity, and ability to create scoring opportunities. At the other end of the pitch, Hassan Mamud, widely known as Hassan Ogbomosho, established himself as one of the team's most dependable defenders.

Capable of playing at left-back, right-back, and centre-back, Mamud impressed with his versatility, physical presence, composure on the ball, and excellent reading of the game. His accurate long-range distribution helped initiate attacks, while his solid defensive displays provided the stability Doma United needed throughout the season.

Following their influential contributions to Doma United's return to the NPFL, both players are expected to attract strong interest during the ongoing transfer window as clubs seek proven talents capable of making an immediate impact in the top flight.

With demand growing for players who have already demonstrated their quality in the domestic game, Bashir and Mamud could become two of the standout names in the transfer market as NPFL clubs strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.
