2025/2026 NPFL Match Day 11 Preview: Shooting Stars Aim for Another Glory in Ibadan

Shooting Stars SC will look to quickly recover from their Match Day 10 defeat (0–2) to Wikki Tourists as they prepare for another Northern challenge against Katsina United in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, is expected to come alive once again as the Oluyole Warriors host the Changi Boys in a crucial Match Day 11 encounter on Sunday. Despite the loss in Bauchi, Shooting Stars have had an impressive campaign, going five matches unbeaten before that setback, with three wins and two draws.

Currently sitting 6th on the table with 15 points from 10 matches, Shooting Stars have recorded four wins, three draws, and three losses. Katsina United trail closely in 7th place, also with 15 points but with a lower goal difference. The Changi Boys have shown inconsistency this season, with five wins and five defeats, emphasizing their unpredictable form.

In their last six NPFL meetings, Katsina United have the edge with three wins to Shooting Stars’ two, while one ended in a draw. Their most recent encounter saw Katsina United defeat Shooting Stars 1–0 at the Karkanda Stadium during the 2023/24 season.

With both teams eager to break into the top five, Sunday’s clash promises to be intense, with 3SC banking on home support to return to winning ways and Katsina United looking to continue their strong record in this fixture.
